A broker fee refers to a real estate agent’s compensation for listing and renting out a space. In some cases, landlords pass the broker fee onto prospective tenants, who are then responsible for paying the landlord’s broker for the realty services.
At Listings Project, we do not accept listings that charge tenants broker fees or similar fees, in compliance with New York City’s FARE Act. This policy applies to all Real Estate residential listings worldwide. When submitting a listing, you must confirm you are not charging prospective tenants a broker fee.
