We do not post spaces or listings that:
- include broker fees or similar fees
- are being listed, shown, or involved with NYC brokers, NYC professional property managers, or third-parties
- are being listed by brokers, professional property managers, or third-parties in New York City, even if it's their own property
- violate or do not uphold our Community Agreements, Terms of Use, or Equity and Inclusion statement
"Third-parties" refers to anyone who is posting on behalf of someone. We do not allow listers to post listings on behalf of other people. You must be the leaseholder or the owner of a space in order to post it on Listings Project. This policy helps us maintain transparency about the spaces and ensures that everyone involved in the transaction is intimately connected to the space.
We want to be 100% certain that we are offering transparent, direct, no broker-fee listings directly from owner to tenant. This helps keep the cost of renting spaces lower than it otherwise would be and protects our community from some of the more predatory elements in the real estate industry. This also ensures that the listers offering the space are more intimately involved with the community. To learn more, read our resource article “Who’s Allowed and Who’s Not Allowed to Post on Listings Project.”
Additionally, we do not post listings that do not uphold our Community Agreements, Equity and Inclusion and Terms of Use. If a listing is not in compliance with our guidelines, we will either remove it or ask the lister to change it. If necessary, Listings Project may block the lister from our community altogether.
